MAGIC063 Differentiable manifolds: how is it going?

Dear students on MAGIC063

I am pleased to see that at the last lecture so many of you were still online. Thank you for support!

If, on the other hand, you receive this email but you have decided that you are not taking this course after all, could you please de-register yourself from the course, so I can try to identify who my actual audience is? Thank you! If you are still tuning in, please read on...

I hope that on my side I have now got the hang of the equipment (again, since it was upgraded over the summer). Hence my question: how am I doing? Can you hear me? Can you read the electronic whiteboard well enough? Am I looking at the camera enough, or do you feel I am broadcasting from Pluto? What practical matters can I improve?

Also, how are you finding the content and presentation of the course? Does the format of overview lectures based loosely on the full printed notes work for you? Is there material you would like to hear more about, or less?

Finally, let me confirm that there will be written assessment for this course. This is a new feature. My suggestion is that James and I set a single final exam, which will be online before lectures end, and which you can do in your own time up to a deadline of, say 16 January. Would that work for you?

Best regards
Carsten

Hi
Just I want to ask if I can de-register myself as a full-time attendence and regist me as an observer because I find only some of the material are relvant to my work.

Thanks
Asma
