Title - Diagrammatic Algebra and p-Kazhdan—Lusztig theory

We introduce p-Kazhdan—Lusztig theory as a machine for encoding structures from representation theory in terms of polynomials.  We take a gentle tour of some of the state of the art concerning these objects, and discuss what is combinatorially knowable and unknowable in this field.
